Ferrari SF90 Spider: Top Speed in a Drop Top
Like the SF90 Stradale, the SF90 Spider sports a top speed of 211 mph and a 0-60 mph time of just 2.5 seconds, giving you the thrills of the fastest production supercar from Ferrari in a drop top.
The first production plug-in hybrid spider, the SF90 Spider sets new benchmarks. You don’t need to compromise between an open-top ride and Ferrari performance, and the SF90 Spider’s Retractable Hard Top architecture transitions from sun to shade as smooth as the twin-turbo V8 responds to your foot on the accelerator.
Most drivers hear “hybrid” and still think of a slow, fuel-conscious car that will save a few dollars on a commute. Ferrari saw electric motors as another avenue for acceleration, delivering torque at 0 RPM.
The Ferrari SF90’s hybrid powertrain is anchored by a 4.0L twin-turbo 90-degree V8 rated at 769 hp, paired to a trio of electric motors (generating 217 hp). By their power combined, the twin turbo V8 and trio of electric motors deliver a record-breaking 986 hp — or a clean 1,000 cheval vapeur. You’ll find two of the electric motors on the front axle and the third between the engine and gearbox.
For the very first time, Ferrari drivers can choose between the standard SF90 Spider or the sport-oriented SF90 Spider Assetto Fiorano.
The Assetto Fiorano brings with it a range of exclusive features, including multimatic shock absorbers derived from GT competitions and engineered for prime performance on the track, carbon fibre and titanium construction that shaves 21 kg off the SF90 Spider’s weight, two-tone Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and more.
